Insights (Continued)
You can’t focus on the war instead of the battle until you are crystal clear about what the war is – what your personal long-term goals are. Figure out where you plan to be when you reach your goals and that clarity will become the foundation of your success. Many people focus on battles because they don’t think long term at all. They don’t focus on the war because they’re not living their lives in terms of long term goals. It’s a trap you can beat. You can take the high ground. Fight and win the war while others are focused on battles. Its all up to you. Even though most people don’t put a lot of thought into their long term goals and therefore ended up fighting other people’s war and playing other people’s game. You can fight your own war and play our own game. You get to decide how you will help others next time. Perhaps by becoming wealthy and using your money to help people you care about becoming healthy, educated and independent. Or perhaps by devoting time to teaching young people things they need to know or ways of reaching their own goals. Whatever path you choose, so long as your long term goal is a goal of service, a goal of helping others, you are exercising the power to succeed. Simply by being mindful of the difference between short term struggles and long term goals, you gain an edge in how you think and feel and act.kAkA.hUnTeR
