Help Others – Help Yourself
Somebody once made the observation that the person who is wrapped up entirely in himself makes a very small package – and the package contains an unhappy person. Think about this: Have you ever known a genuinely happy, self-centered person?

I love the story about a man who was hiking in the mountains. He was taken by surprise in a sudden snowstorm and quickly lost his way. He knew he needed to find shelter fast, or he would freeze to death. Despite all of his efforts, his hands and feet quickly went numb. In his wandering he literally tripped over another man who was almost frozen. The hiker had to make a decision: Should he help the man, or should he continue in hopes of saving himself?

In an instant he made a decision and threw off his wet gloves. He knelt beside the man and began massaging his arms and legs. After the hiker had worked for a few minutes, the man began to respond and was soon able to get on his feet. Together the two men, supporting each other, found help. The hiker was later informed that by helping another, he had helped himself. His numbness vanished while he was massaging the stranger’s arms and legs. His heightened activity had enhanced his circulation and brought warmth to his hands and feet.

It’s ironic but not surprising that when he lost sight of himself and his predicament and focused on someone else, he solved his own problem. It’s my conviction that the only way to reach the mountain peaks of life is to forget about self and help other people reach greater heights.

Name Analysis

You entered: Wee Yan Bao Jackson

Your number is: 11

The characteristics of #11 are: High spiritual plane, intuitive, illumination, idealist, a dreamer.

The expression or destiny for #11:

Your Expression number is 11. The number 11 is the first of the master numbers. It is associated with idealistic concepts and rather spiritual issues. Accordingly, it is a number with potentials that are somewhat more difficult to live up to. You have the capacity to be inspirational, and the ability to lead merely by your own example. An inborn inner strength and awareness can make you an excellent teacher, social worker, philosopher, or advisor. No matter what area of work you pursue, you are very aware and sensitive to the highest sense of your environment. Your intuition is very strong; in fact, many psychic people and those involved in occult studies have the number 11 expression. You possess a good mind with keen analytical ability. Because of this you can probably succeed in most lines of work, however, you will do better and be happier outside of the business world. Oddly enough, even here you generally succeed, owing to your often original and unusual approach. Nonetheless, you are more content working with your ideals, rather than dollars and cents.

The positive aspect of the number 11 expression is an always idealistic attitude. Your thinking is long term, and you are able to grasp the far-reaching effects of actions and plans. You are disappointed by the shortsighted views of many of your contemporaries. You are deeply concerned and supportive of art, music, or of beauty in any form.

The negative attitudes associated with the number 11 expression include a continuous sense of nervous tension; you may be too sensitive and temperamental. You tend to dream a lot and may be more of a dreamer than a doer. Fantasy and reality sometimes become intermingled and you are sometimes very impractical. You tend to want to spread the illumination of your knowledge to others irrespective of their desire or need.

Your Soul Urge number is: 7

A Soul Urge number of 7 means: With a number 7 Soul Urge you are very fond of reading, and retreating to periods of being alone and away from the disruptions of the outer world. You like to dream and develop you idealistic understandings, to study and analyze, to gain knowledge and wisdom. You may be too laid back and withdrawn to really succeed in the business world, and you will be much more comfortable in circumstances that are tolerant of your reserve, your analytical approach, and your desire to use your mind rather than your physical being.

You are very timid around people that you don't know very well, so much so at times that casual conversation and social situations can be strained. You tend to repress your emotions to the extend that some people have a good bit of difficult understanding you. You tend to be very selective with friends and you don't easily adapt to new environments or to new people very quickly.

The negative traits of the 7 include becoming too much the introvert and isolated from others.

Your Inner Dream number is: 4

An Inner Dream number of 4 means: You dream of being a very solid citizen that people can depend upon. You strive for organization and predictable order. You want to be recognized as a person with a plan and the discipline to make that plan work like clockwork.

You have a Life Path 7

The route of thinkers and independent people.

It corresponds to an internally rich life, nearly solitary. This path will be the place to work with the mind and to have a certain taste for perfection. On this path, whatever your profession or education level, you will be pushed to reach a better understanding of yourself (introspection, ability to change your mind or call things into question, sometimes black thoughts) and the world around you. The outstanding events of this path will have more echo in your inner life (or will happen mostly in your own mind). Your itinerary will be symbolised by the taste for independence and sometimes solitude despite appearances ! It is often characterised by an original destiny with relatively easy success (things come to you) and a little bit disinterested with down-to-earth aspects. Friendships will have a great source of satisfaction, but marriage is not always easy especially if you are introverted.

You will regularly be confronted by events that will push you to question yourself, to look at your values. The duality and appearances will mark the situations of your life justly for you to develop your power of judgement and your perspicacity. You will be pushed to penetrate the heart of events to understand them better and master them little by little. These can be positive events (great success, luck) or negative (loss of a dear friend, a series of love breakdowns, injustices, the collapse of an ideal). These situations will sometimes be arduous, there will be periods of doubt and hope which incite you to turn inwards or sometimes to rebel against society. But don't cut yourself off from the outside world. On the contrary, use your intelligence and your knowledge to succeed in the outside world. Cultivate balance. Level-headedness, the interest for those around you, a certain form of detachment and interior calm will be useful on this path.

Moving Up in Life
Someone accurately stated that when you hire others smarter than yourself, you prove you are smarter than they are. We can apply that to all areas of ability. The sales manager should strive diligently to hire salespeople who are better at selling than he or she is. That way they can share information, and they will all be even more effective. Also, by continuing to learn from each salesperson, the manager will stay one step ahead of all of them. Exactly the same thing applies in coaching. A good head coach seeks assistant coaches who know more about their specialty than he does and he learns from them. Ditto for managers in manufacturing, engineering, architecture and other fields.

All of us can learn and benefit from the knowledge and talent of others. Don’t be intimidated by someone with a more successful resume, and don’t feel superior to someone who has enjoyed less success than you have. Learn from both of them.

Leaders Are Communicators
An old saying maintains, “That which can be misunderstood will be misunderstood.” This resolution, passed by the board of councilmen in Canton, Mississippi, in the mid-1800s, focuses on an example that could be neither understood nor implemented: “Number one: Resolved by this Council that we build a new jail. Number two: Resolved that the new jail be built out of the materials of the old jail. Resolved that the old jail be used until the new jail is finished.

In many ways, effective communication begins with mutual respect – communication that inspires, encourages, or instructs others to do their best. When you respect people, you will never be rude to them. Consequently, by treating them with respect, you get cooperation, enthusiastically given instead of grudgingly given. Respected individuals are going to work harder to become peak performers, wanting to do more and more.

If people like you, they will work harder for you. if they don’t like you, they might work to keep their jobs, but they won’t really be giving the effort they are capable of giving. People might perform to keep their jobs because duty and responsibility demand that they do a job well. But love and encouragement enable people to do work beautifully. When you communicate to people that you genuinely like and respect them, and follow that up with consistency of action, you establish rapport with and confidence in your people that will make a difference.

Communication is not necessarily an easy skill to learn, but it really begins with seriously listening to what the other person says. By listening with respect, you will learn things that can make a difference. Consistency will be the result, an consistent performance is the key to excellence. Buy into and practice these concepts.

The Choice is Yours
You can focus on what you do have or complain about what you don’t have. I want to emphasize, however, that what we focus on plays a major role in what we are able to accomplish in life. By now surely everyone knows that Heather Whitestone, the 1995 Miss America, is and has been profoundly deaf since her 18th month of life. However, Heather always focused on what she did have, not on what she did not have. She focused on her ability, not her disability. She is fortunate that she has parents who fervently believe in her and have supported, loved, encouraged, and worked with her in everything she has done.

This beautiful young woman has a keen mind. She also has tremendous spirit and a solid faith, and she has been a persistent hard worker all of her life. She is a skilled lip-reader, and over the years, many professors and others have helped her. Some of them have even taken the time to make copies of their notes for her.

Major point: Countless other people have also had problems, but they focused on the problems instead of the solutions to the problems. Please understand I am making an observation and not a criticism. No one knows how other people feel and some problems are beyond human solution.

However, people with a cooperative, loving, enthusiastic, gentle, positive attitude will attract people by the score who not only are willing to help them, but also are anxious to do so. The attitude about your condition, on many occasions, is even more significant than the condition itself.

The Snow Test
Your Snow Test Says You're Agreeable

You feel like something good will happen to you eventually, but not soon.

You love to work, especially when work is physical. You do well in any job, as long as you're not stuck in an office.

You are a cooperative, agreeable person. You enjoy the company of others, and you enjoy compromising for the good of the group.

Your biggest worry in your life is your own safety. You fear death and getting hurt.

When it comes time to relax, you really indulge. You are all about your favorite comforts.
