The man before...
Recently I felt that my temper is getting from bad to worse.. Always being pissed off with small things that happened around me like helping my mum emailing her stuffs, trying doing all the house chores before my mum comes back, etc.. I did all these work frequently for the past few years just that this year I tried my best to do it as frequent as possible.. Almost everyday from the starting of this year until now, I am trying to make this into a routine for me. But recently i just got pissed off that when I stopped doing work for just 1 day. The house will be in a mess. I am keeping quiet, trying not to flare up on these small issues. I wonder how my mum actually did all these work by herself last time when i was still a kid. Somemore she wasn't a full time housewife. I can feel its really not easy for a housewife to take care of the household while her husband works outside.

Maybe I am losing patience or maybe my mind is trying to find some excuse for my laziness.

How i wished i was the man before..

It’s not enough just to listen to conscience; we must also respond.

Three Sides to the Story
There are three sides to every story – your side, their side and the right side. Over the years, how often when we hear the first account of a story, does it appear that someone is guilty without doubt? Later we get the “other side of the story,” and completely change our minds. “Don’t rush to judgment” is good advice.

It is encouraged, particularly if you are in a management or decision-making position regarding other people, to carefully hear what the messenger is saying. Make no decisions, promises, or judgments until you have heard the other side of the story. I believe if you take that approach, you will win more friends influence more people.

Think..
Mind is the masterpower that molds and makes
Man is mind and evermore he takes
The tools of thought and shaping what he will
Brings to pass a thousand joys and a thousand ills
He thinks in secret, it comes to pass
Environment is but his looking glass.

What's Your Rising Sign?

Your Rising Sign is Capricorn

Old fashioned and conservative, you carry yourself with dignity.

You have a tough exterior, and you can be intimidating when you want to be.

Hard working and ambitious, you can survive in the most cut throat work enviroments.

Outside of work, you are a true friend to everyone in your small inner circle.

You may have had a difficult time earlier in life.

Capricorns are late bloomers and you may be coming into your own right now.

A Philosophy to Live By
Wisdom goes back a long way and comes in the form of examples, illustrations, stories, clichés, parables, etc. One of the oldest bits of philosophy says that “for want of a nail a shoe was lost, for want of a shoe a horse was lost, for want of a horse a rider was lost, for want of a rider a leader was lost, for want of a leader a battle was lost, for want of a victory a war was lost, for want of a plan a nation was lost.”

One variation of that could tell be in the form of some ancient Chinese philosophies, which are frequently rich in wisdom and truth. They carry truths that apply to people and nations, regardless of the century in which we are living. One of those gems is: “If there is righteousness in the heart, there will be duty in the character. If there is duty in the character, there will be harmony in the home. If there is harmony in the home, there will be order in the nation. When there is order in the nation, there will be peace in the world.”

This philosophy is both simple and profound. Simple means “not complex or complicated, as a machine of simple construction.” I believe you will agree that most of us appreciate some things that are simple and easy to understand, such as truth and integrity. The word profound means “deep, descending, or being far below the surface, not superficial.” Profound also means “humble,” as in a profound reverence for the Supreme Being. That certainly gives us something to think about, doesn’t it?

Are You Prejudiced?

You Are Not Prejudiced

Not only are you color blind, but you're also ethnicity blind, gender blind, and sexual orientation blind.

You don't judge someone until you truly know them. And even then, you're probably reluctant to judge.

You try to treat everyone equally. Everyone has a fair chance with you.

Good job - there's not a prejudiced bone in your body.

“We are Both on the Same Side”
A young lad who was confronted by 3 bullies with violence in mind. Quickly, the little guy drew a line on the ground, stepped back several feet, looked the biggest bully in the eye and said, “Now, you just step over that line.” Confidently, the big bully stepped over the line, preparing to commit mayhem no the little guy. Quickly the little fellow grinned and said, “Now we are both on the same side.”

Physically, they were both on the same side. But emotionally they were still some distance apart. The smaller boy improved his chances of getting on the same side emotionally by his touch of wit and wisdom. This is an excellent combination to diffuse most crisis situations and represents a major step in solving whatever problems exist.

There are several lessons we can learn from this little vignette. First, whether it is a parent-child, management-labor or teacher-student situation, both really are on the same side and the best way for either side to win is for both sides to win. Second, a sense of humor can be very helpful in removing communications barriers by revealing your human side and establishing rapport. Third, sometimes it’s necessary for the big bully (the person in authority) to move to the other side of the table (across the line). This lets associates, children or employees clearly understand that they really are on the same side and open to listening to ideas from both sides of that line. The fourth message is that it is always important and to our advantage to maintain our perspective by being open and fair-minded as we look at life from the other person’s perspective.

The “Seat” of Your Attitude
I have consistently noted on tendency in all audiences, especially in lectures, talks, sales organizations, seminars and conferences. Almost without exception the top salespeople are seated at or very close to the front, depending on their vision and the angle of the seats they have chosen.

Those people who already “know it all” or feel that they do, or those people who consider this a waste of their time or think they have heard it all before, will invariably arrive late or at the last moment, unprepared. They are also the ones most likely to squirm in their seats, leave early, or talk to the person next to them.

I have also observed that when these same people go to an athletic or entertainment, they want the best seat in the house. They generally arrive in plenty of time and are irritated when there are distractions from anyone else.

All of this is to say that front-row people by and large come to educational or inspiration meetings with great expectations. They come prepared to learn and take good notes. A study at Harvard University revealed that people who get the most out of meetings (a) come with the expectation of getting great ideas, (b) take good notes, and (c) talk with colleagues about what they learned and compare notes. This way they reinforce what they learned and pick up points they missed from the other person. In short, these people are winners because they plan to win, prepare to win, and expect to win. That is a good approach to life.

How Do You Communicate?

You Communicate With Your Body

This isn't as bad as it sounds, it just means that you're a "touchy-feely" person.

You need a lot of affection in your life. And for you, this means both giving and receiving little touches.

Warm hearted, you bond with people easily. In fact, you often feel a little sad when you're not in the company of others.

A little moody, you tend to be controlled by your emotions. But a bit hug always comforts you!

Hope in the Future
If there is hope in the future, there is power in the present. The reason is simple: Hope in the future has a dramatic impact on your thinking today. Our thinking today determines our performance today, and our performance today has a direct bearing on your future. Our past is important because it brought us to where we are, but as important as our past is, it is not nearly as important as the way we see our future.

We are had problems of our past (e.g. depression, abused as a child, suffered through bankruptcy, raised by alcoholic parents). All of these things are traumatic events that affect the way we act. Despite all these things, the way we see our future us even more important.

Men and women are limited not by the place of their birth, not by the color of their skin, but by the size of their hope. Make friends with our past so we can focus on today, which will make our tomorrows even better. I am not talking about denial of reality; what I am talking about is facing reality, but facing it in an optimistic way.
